I'm the Marshall M. Weinberg Professor of Philosophy at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I'm also a Visiting Fellow at the Arché research centre at the University of St Andrews.

My dissertation (Monash, 1998) was on formal models for reasoning under uncertainty. Since then I've worked on probability, conditionals, vagueness, metaphysics, epistemology, political philosophy, aesthetics, applied ethics and history of 20th century philosophy.
