I’m the Marshall M. Weinberg Professor of Philosophy at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

My dissertation (Monash, 1998) was called On Uncertainty, and it discussed formal models for reasoning under uncertainty.

I have published many papers over the years, primarily in epistemology, game theory and decision theory, philosophy of language, logic and the history of analytic philosophy. These links will take you to versions of the papers that are optimised for online reading. If you’d like the papers in traditional PDFs, or links to the published versions, see my CV.

My first book, Normative Externalism, was published in 2019 with [Oxford University Press]((https://global.oup.com/academic/product/normative-externalism-9780199696536).

My second book A History of Philosophy Journals: Volume 1 Evidence from Topic Modeling, 1876-2013 was published in 2022 with Maize Press.

I’m currently working on a book on knowledge and interests and more tentatively on a book on causal decision theory.

I am an editor of Philosophers’ Imprint.
